“Our Mission is to generate social and economic equity through entrepreneurship. Web 3 and related technologies such crypto, bitcoin, blockchain, NFTs, provide a great opportunity to make significantly greater progress toward that mission.
To do this, we must ensure that this emerging space continues to foster relationships and partnerships that promote building and supporting equitable communities and brings underrepresented entrepreneurs and talent to the forefront.
We’re excited to announce our Web3 Accelerator for underrepresented founders which is continuation of our work as tech ecosystem builder for inclusive innovation economies. This accelerator will launch in late August 2022 and applications will open in early June for those who are interested.
Much our success is based on strong collaboration with existing startup leaders like our friends at Capital Factory Mercury Fund, Urban Capital Marcus Carey as well as emerging leadership such Sian Morson, Harold Hughes, ATX DAO, Women of Web3 and countless others to make Austin amongst the most inclusive innovation economies as well as a more economically balanced city.”

Why DivInc + Web3
At DivInc, we believe diversity, equity, and inclusion of all perspectives is a key facet of innovation. That’s why our mode of operation is collaborative leadership. We listen first and learn from the founders we serve, our partners, and our greater community of supporters. We also capture industry insights and gauge what’s happening in the ecosystem. With this data as our guide, we evolve quickly to ensure our community is at the forefront of both building and benefiting from the latest resources, policies, technologies, and opportunities.
Web3 and blockchain technology, along with applications like NFTs, are intended to revolutionize the internet as we know it and create more equitable opportunities for our communities. Understanding these technologies and building them inclusively must be a priority for all involved.
DivInc is ready to lead the charge as we launch our new Web3 initiative over the coming months.
Demystify the Space
To start, our goal is to demystify the Web3 landscape and create a transparent pathway into this uncharted territory. We do this by connecting with those already making headway, collaborating with the community of burgeoning experts, and creating safe spaces for the curious where stepping outside of confort zones is encouraged.
Web3 is in the formative stages, so a lot is being developed. Right now, all of us are in learning mode, including the “experts.” That is the beauty of this moment! We can all get in early, maximize the opportunity and shape the future of the internet. DivInc will be a catalyst and collaborator to make this happen inclusively for our community.
In addition, Women, Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA+ leaders in the space are using their voices to ensure Web3 is built differently than Web1 and Web2. We can’t stop at just learning and building in public, we must also encourage our respective communities to actively participate. This is a game-changer!
DivInc will utilize its programs, community workshops, social gatherings, boot camps, speaking engagements, and partnerships to help bring resources, new and emerging experts, and key leaders together so we can all gain the skills needed to utilize these new spaces.
Collaborators Assemble
DivInc broadens the startup ecosystem by making it more authentically diverse and equitable. We make it a priority to elevate and build alongside a diverse slate of partners. For our Web3 initiatives, we’ll continue to collaborate with our current partners like Capital Factory, the Austin Mayor’s Office, and with leaders in the space like Sian Morson in the arts and Harold Hughes in venture capital.
We’re also excited to build new connections with mission-aligned local and national organizations. We will lean on our community to help us link up with Black, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, women and Indigenous leaders in the tech and creative innovation economy along with those doing phenomenal work to ensure veterans, people with disabilities, and neurodivergent people are at the forefront of Web3 development.

DivInc Web3 Accelerator Launch
If you’re a startup founder or thinking about entrepreneurship, how can you begin to understand and utilize Web3 technology and mindsets? That’s where DivInc boot camps and accelerators come in to play.
But first, what is an accelerator? Why should I participate in one? How can it help my business? (from the DivInc perspective)
The DivInc accelerator is a 12-week intensive program focused on providing underrepresented startup founders access to essential resources, mentors, SMEs, coaches, and financial capital. The goal is to help early-stage startups do in 12 weeks what might take you 18 to 24 months to do on your own.
The program also provides a uniquely collaborative culture designed to support underrepresented entrepreneurs in the long term. Founders problem solve and grow their network alongside their peers, expert advisors, and investors so they are well connected even after the program ends.
The DivInc Web3 Accelerator launching in Fall 2022 in Austin will provide founders access to the information and resources they need to leverage Web3 for their companies. Participants will have a safe space to learn, test, and collaborate with fellow cohort members. A network of Web3 focused subject matter experts and investors will work alongside them to guide them as they optimize the new technologies for their target audience and solutions,
The infancy of this emerging market is an opportunity for those who are usually shut out to enter on the ground floor. If we do this right, we can correct the wrongs of previous web generations so we don’t end up with the same systemic injustices cloaked in a new digital garment.
